Paper is recycled in a wide variety of grades: toilet paper or uncoated paper, copier paper and newsprint. Recycled fibre is also now being used in the production of higher-grade paper such as the paper required for magazines, for instance. Ecologically sensible, economically valuable: these factors ensure that the worldwide demand for innovative solutions for paper recycling continues unabated. SiCon has made a name for itself as a leading recycling partner to the paper industry. One of the focal points of our recycling technologies is in the processing of rejects from the paper industry.
Paper mills processing scrap paper produce what is known as rejects. Today these rejects are usually recycled as a substitute fuel. SiCon designs and installs systems for recycling these rejects.
SiCon’s technology and the tried-and-tested machinery allow valuable fibres to be recovered in fabric recycling as well as plastics for the recycling process. This delivers significant economic benefits compared with energetic exploitation as a substitute fuel. Amortisation periods of less than two years are the norm.
